	Waiting List for the Low Income Public Housing Program (LIPH) (NOT SECTION 8) (En Español) The Housing Authority of the County of Santa Cruz has opened the Waiting List for the Low Income Public Housing (LIPH) Program. The Waiting List will remain open indefinitely. The LIPH Program includes several apartment complexes that are owned and operated by the Housing Authority. Eligible low income households pay rent directly to the Housing Authority. In the LIPH program, the housing assistance is associated with the unit, not the tenant. Therefore, to continue participation in LIPH Program, families must remain in the LIPH unit. This program is not the Santa Cruz County Section 8 Program. How to Apply If you would like to be added to the LIPH Waiting List, you must complete a Pre-Application form and return it to the Housing Authority. You may obtain and submit an online Pre-Application form by clicking here. You may also obtain a Pre-Application form from our lobby during regular office hours, or you may request that a Pre-Application be mailed to you by calling (831) 454-9455 ext 355 for English, 356 for Spanish or by writing to the Housing Authority at 2931 Mission Street, Santa Cruz, CA 95060. Your name will be placed on the Waiting List by the date the Housing Authority receives your completed application. If you need assistance completing a Pre-Application you may reach our Program Information Center by Calling (831) 454-5950.
